Child Development Tips – One Thing to Do, and One Thing to Avoid

Want to be sure your child won’t have learning disabilities?  We can help!  Here is just one thing that can make a difference.

Did you know that our brains are 3% cells and 97% connections? Those connections are so important and making them is simple.

  • Be sure your child has lots of tummy time on the floor.
  • As much as possible, keep them out of all the contraptions we now have available. (i.e. swings, walkers, carriers, etc.)

Why?
When our children are down on the floor on their tummies their body and limbs are receiving stimulation from the tile, the rugs, and the wood. They are building neuro-pathways which in turn is telling the brain where their hand is, where their foot is, where their trunk is. It is this stimulation, building those pathways to the brain, that help stop those labels so many children have today. Those learning disability labels are preventable and reversible. Isn’t that wonderful to know?
