Kerryl Ann Frank releases new CD Titled, "What Lies Within"Recently, I got an online notice that Fulshear resident, Kerryl Ann Frank had completed her new CD titled “What Lies Within”.   Not knowing much about Kerryl Ann and being driven by my curiosity, I took the opportunity to have a quick listen.  Music preview is available online.  CD is Available Now.   Her album will also be available for preview or purchase on iTunes and on her website at http://www.kerrylann.com

I was surprised the Kerryl Ann provides more than just a preview of the songs.  In fact, she provides the entire album for her fans to listen to and you can share the link with your family and friends for free.  Of course, Kerryl hopes that you’ll want to download her music.  Each track will cost the industry standard 99 cents per track, but with the music I heard, that wouldn’t be a problem.

While I listened to the music, I found myself transported into her world of faith and hope.  I later discovered that her music was all original and tells her unique story.  So, I recently got to speak with Kerryl Ann Frank on the phone to get some details about her new CD.  What I got was a unique look inside her life, her inspiration, and her faith.

Kerryl Ann is a member of Parkway Fellowship’s Praise team where she is a vocalist and plays keyboard alongside of Pat Hunt, their Worship Pastor.  Parkway Fellowship is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of FM 1093 and FM 723, just to the east of Fulshear.

Kerryl Ann’s Story:
Kerryl Ann Frank releases new CD Titled, "What Lies Within"She comes from a musical family where her father, mother, and brother were all creative and inspired musicians.  When she was a young child, her mother, who still writes music, encouraged Kerryl Ann and her brother to learn to play the piano and to express themselves musically.  However, Kerryl Ann didn’t see herself as a “real” musician and didn’t pursue her gift like the rest of her family.  Still, Kerryl Ann was always involved with music through her church for her entire life.  Once grown, she saw to it that each of her children were involved in various choirs and were learning to play the piano from her mother.  This helped build their love for music.

Kerryl Ann, who had never written a note of original music for herself, felt that the music “gene” had been passed down to her children from God through her, but that it hadn’t really stuck with her.  She never felt slighted.  She understood it was a gift she just did not possess.

It wasn’t until what her bio describes as “…a season of complete brokenness” that Kerryl Ann found her gift two years ago.  It was that “season” that has opened up a trove of music that Kerryl Ann says keeps producing more music – almost daily.  According to Kerryl Ann, there are days that the songs come to her so quickly that she has trouble writing it all down fast enough.  In the two years since Kerryl Ann began writing, she has complete around fifty songs and has another fifty or more in progress.   She gives God the credit for her music and sees it as a gift to be shared.

Choosing which songs would appear on her CD was difficult for Kerryl Ann.  Her only solice in choosing the twelve tracks you’ll hear on the current CD was knowing that she’d have more songs for another, future CD - which I’m sure we’ll hear more about in the future.

Ron and Kerryl Ann Frank and FamilyKerryl Ann is not sure where her music will take her.  I asked her whether she wanted to go into some aspect of ministry, performance, professional songwriting, or more just do more recording.  She says she is content wherever God chooses to place her.  In my opinion, the opportunities for ministry and outreach  through her music appear to be a great first step.  She sees herself first as a worshiper and is still learning how to be the writer and composer that she appears called to be.  She and is quick to share the limelight as well as the credit for how well her CD came out.

This, her first CD, was produced by Pat Hunt, who has mentored Kerryl Ann as she developed her gift.  Having been to Parkway Fellowship, I have long admired Pat Hunt for his many talents as a musician, composer, and band leader.  Pat brought an impeccable level of polish to the project through his excellent production and instrumentation.  He was able to add his uniquely addaptive style, superior orchistration and composition which helps to bring Kerryl Ann’s music to the same level of quality as you would expect from best that New York, Los Angeles, or Nashville studios have to offer.

I hope that you’ll take some time to listen to Kerryl Ann Frank’s music.  Please share the links with your friends and be sure to support Kerryl Ann by purchasing the tracks so you can have them forever.

We want to thank Kerryl Ann for her time and openness during our interview.
