Everyone was Irish at the Fulshear St. Patrick’s Day Celebration – March 17th, 2010. An estimated 500 to 600 people came to Celebrate the Green with their neighbors and friends in Downtown Fulshear.
The event was organized by the City of Fulshear in cooperation with the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance (Chamber of Commerce). The celebration gave the City of Fulshear an opportunity to show off the family friendly atmosphere in their growing downtown area. Cheryl Stalinsky welcomed and thanked the crowd for coming and encouraged them to shop downtown and enjoy the celebration.
Many of the businesses located in the shopping areas participated by offering special pricing and discounts. A number of groups had booths and tables including The Fulshear-Simonton Lions Club, (thanks for the free frito pie for everyone), Katy Christian Ministries, Texas Home Health, Wallis State Bank, Fulshear.com, Silver Eagle Gallery, The Girl Scouts, and several others.
Musical entertainment was provided by the City of Fulshear who brought in “The Sugarland Brass Company” which played a wide variety of music ranging from classic Blues to Rock and Roll.
The next event will be Bocci Ball held this weekend in Fulshear Creek Crossing.
