I caught up with “The King” at Dozier’s BBQ, Fulshear’s landmark destination, defining Texas BBQ. I hope you’ll enjoy meeting him as much as I did.
Johnny agreed to a quick interview a day prior to his performance at Fulshear’s “Rock n Roll Christmas”, an annual community Christmas event featuring Fulshear’s official Christmas Tree Lighting, a lighted parade, vendor booths, games, musical entertainment and more.
By the way, I found Johnny to be charismatic and friendly; an unpretentious performer. In this case, he will be celebrating the music of “The King”, Elvis Presley. But, as it turns out, Mr. Seaton is an accomplished entertainer, singer, songwriter and has been touring internationally for over twenty years.
In his career, Mr. Seaton has performed in many venues in many productions. Regarding one notable performance, he received rave reviews for his appearance as “Pharoh” in the Broadway production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat“, which also featured 70’s heart-throb, Donny Osmond.
As an accomplished musician, singer and songwriter, Johnny is proud to havee two albums in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Having headlined in his own show in Las Vegas for three years, Johnny currently lives in Maryland and travels with his band entertaining crowds along the east coast.
Some of Mr. Seaton’s favorite artists are Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Frank Sinatra, and Tom Jones.
Following his performance in Fulshear on December 6th, 2014, Mr. Seaton will be appearing in his Christmas Show in Maryland Dec. 20th, followed by a performance on New Year’s Eve.
