Tuesday night was full of song and smiles for many Fulshear parents. Fulshear United Methodist Church’s Early Learning Center held its Christmas program December 9th at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Parents and family alike gathered together to celebrate the holidays and enjoy the beautiful program the staff and children put on.
Everyone was warmly welcomed by Viola Ring, the center’s director. Right away she commented on the large turnout and noted that next year they might have to move the event to the gym!
Owen McKnight, the church’s associate pastor, led the opening prayer and shared a good message about the story and meaning of Christmas. After that, the fellowship hall was filled with song! Kids ages 18 months to pre-k sang some holiday favorites.
The kids were then treated to a reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas, read by Pennie Opdyke. The cameras flashed and the kids cheered when Santa himself appeared at the end of the night.
The Early Learning Center staff went above and beyond to make it a special night for Fulshear families. It was another wonderful example of how children bring out the Christmas spirit in all of us.
