This is the 5th Annual Lions Charity Motorcycle Ride. The Fulshear Simonton Lions Club along with local businesses host this charity event. This year they are raising money for “Bikers Against Child Abuse” and “The Fort Bend Women’s Shelter”, where 100% of every dollar donated by the Charity Motorcycle Ride participants goes to the named

This ride was originally a joint idea between Mike Martin (Martin Mortgage) and Bruce Granger, a Lion. Martin Mortgage and other local businesses have grown over time, allowing the charity bike ride to grow and reach new people who are now participating in various ways.

Registration is between 8:00am and 10:30am at Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center in Fulshear.  Coffee and breakfast goodies will be available at the Cafe.    There are stops in Industry, Bellville, Hockley, and then back to Fulshear (The Bunker Icehouse) for the final stop.  Since it’s an open ride, you can depart when you are ready to leave and you can ride the suggested route or you can take your “own road” so long as you stop at the designated draw sites.  Last bike in at 4:00pm.

The total ride on the suggested route is approximately 130 miles.  The area around Belleville and Industry are usually filled with emerging spring flowers.  Hopefully our cool weather won’t slow the blooms too much as it’s a pretty ride in the spring.
